BCEHS provides out-of-hospital, emergency services, and inter-facility patient transfers throughout the province, and oversees the BC Ambulance Service and BC Patient Transfer Services.
Call Takers receive 9-1-1 calls, work with dispatch, and can deliver life-saving instructions over the phone.
Dispatchers manage ambulance responses to ensure the right care arrives on scene.

Emergency Medical Responder is an entry-level role which provides a pathway to paramedic roles.
